Little bit of our rehearsal for choral morning Eucharist - was very interesting to sing in that placement with the organ further away!
It’s hard to believe we only have one more day of leading worship here. We can feel ourselves growing everyday! Tomorrow morning we lead choral Eucharist and final evensong!
O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: Increase and multiply upon us your mercy; that, with you as our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal, that we lose not the things eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Little taste of how we sounded today in the Lady Chapel
We had a busy day- an excursion at Peterborough Cathedral and sang the choral evensong at the beautiful (but extremely hot) Lady Chapel of the Ely Cathedral. Many famous choral groups made their recordings in the space due to its amazing acoustic!
Today was a day of rest. Except we ran into second hottest day of Cambridge. Ever. Our choristers went to Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial to pay respect, then went to a tour of colleges in Cambridge- ending at King’s College and fought this massive heat! Back to Evensong services tomorrow!

Today began with mini-impromptu-civilized tea party at the garden, Duxford Air Museum, then a beautiful evensong despite the unusually hot temperature. Our choristers dealt with heat and fatigue to deliver a great worship experience
Before singing our evensong, choristers of St. George’s visited Burghley House - an impressive space with so much history!

Today's Terrific Tuesday brings you our Mission Moment from this past Sunday's 10am service. Brad Thomason spoke on the recent mission trip to Our Little Roses in Honduras saying, "God took us to this magical little village for us to see how happy those who are totally dependent on him can be." This is from Tuesday rehearsal before the evensong. It was an unusually hot day but our singers worked through the heat and sang beautifully, especially Canticle composed by our own Gerry Senechal! I believe it is English premiere!
We had a great first service at Ely Cathedral! We were invited for refreshments by the Dean of the cathedral at their beautiful garden! Our choristers took a photo with the cathedral behind them!!

A day at Ely! We attended services today, MorningEucharist and Choral Evensong, which gave us the opportunity to experience the liturgy for the week. We will be meeting with the Verger tomorrow morning to learn important logistics for our services, then our first evensong!
We arrived to London - all safe and sound - we spent a day in Windsor castle, battling jet lag trying to make sure we get into a normal sleep pattern quickly! We will worship at Ely cathedral tomorrow - an opportunity to observe and participate in the liturgy- then we begin leading them as the resident choir from Monday! Exciting times! Thanks for your prayers for safe journey!
